You belong to God
You belong to God, recognize that the Lord is God! We are his people and the sheep in his pasture since he is the one who created us. – Psalm 100:3

You belong to God

Have you ever felt disoriented among a crowd of people you know? Ever had the impression that nobody truly saw or understood you? It’s simple to think you don’t matter at those times.

It may be difficult for you to be among others or go to social gatherings because you frequently feel like you don’t belong anyplace. For a while, this was my narrative. But thank God, this is not the conclusion of our story!

The One who created the heavens and the earth and who is aware of both beginning and end is the One to whom you belong. God loves you without conditions since you were made for His good and pleasure. Take a moment to process that.

God values every facet of who you are, which implies:

  • Your identity is found in God, not in what others think of you.
  • God owns you since you are one of his children.
  • Your past errors and regrets do not define who you are.

How To Know If You Are God’s Child

The Bible provides us with a number of ways to demonstrate our relationship with God and His active involvement in our lives. God is the one who enables us and you to remain steadfast in Christ. He anointed us, put his ownership seal on us, and left his Spirit as a deposit in our hearts, securing the future.

The Spirit of the LORD, described in Isaiah 11:2 as the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and strength, the Spirit of knowledge and the Spirit of the fear of the LORD, will rest on him. The Holy Spirit works in the lives of believers, transferring from God’s heart to ours the wisdom, knowledge, understanding, strength, guidance, and fear of the Lord.

We are changed into the likeness of Christ as we hear and respond to the voice of God speaking to us through His Holy Spirit, and we experience the fruit of the Spirit in our lives. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control, according to Galatians 5:22–25. There is no law that prohibits such behavior. 24 The sinful nature with its cravings and wants has been crucified in the lives of those who belong to Christ Jesus. {25} Let’s stay in line with the Spirit since we operate by the Spirit.

From Matthew 7:17 to 21 Similar to how every good tree produces good fruit, a bad tree produces bad fruit. 18 A good tree is unable to produce bad fruit, and a bad tree is unable to produce good fruit. 19 Every tree that doesn’t provide decent fruit is felled and burned. Thus, you may identify them by their fruit. “Only those who carry out the will of my heavenly Father will be admitted to the kingdom of heaven; not everyone who calls out to me in a ‘Lord, Lord’ manner.

No servant may serve two masters, according to Luke 16:13. He will either dislike one while loving the other, or he will be loyal to one while despising the other. It is impossible to serve both God and money.

No one can come to me except the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up on the last day, as stated in John 6:44–45. The Prophets state, “They will all be taught by God.” Everyone comes to me who hears the Father and picks up knowledge from him.

John 8:47 Whoever is a part of God hears what God says. You are not a part of God, which is why you cannot hear.

John 10:27-28 My sheep pay attention to my voice; they recognize me, and they follow. They have life forever that I give them, and no one can take it away from them.

John 13:34-35 “I give you a new command: Love one another. You must love one another just as I have loved you. If you show one another love, all people will know that you are my disciples.

John 14:15-17 “If you love me, you will carry out my instructions. And I’ll ask the Father to send you the Spirit of truth as another Counselor who will always be by your side. Because it cannot see him or recognize him, the world cannot accept him. But you are aware of him because he is and always will be a part of you.

According to John 14:21, the person who obeys my commands is the one who loves me. My Father will love him, and I will also love him and reveal myself to my Father if he loves me.

According to John 15:1–14, “I am the genuine vine, and my Father is the gardener. Every branch in me that doesn’t give fruit is cut off, and the branches that do bear fruit are pruned so they will bear even more fruit. Thanks to the word I said to you, you are already clean. Stay with me, and I will stay with you. No branch can produce fruit on its own; it must remain in the vine. If you don’t stay in me, neither can you produce fruit. I am the vine, and you are the branches.

Man will grow great fruit if he continues to follow me and I continue to follow him; separate from me, you are powerless. If somebody leaves me, they are like a branch that is cut off and withers; such branches are taken up, thrown into the fire, and burned. Ask for anything you want, and it will be given to you if you continue to believe in me and the power of my words. The fact that you produce a lot of fruit and identify yourself as my disciples will reflect well on my Father. I have loved you just as much as my Father has loved me. Now hold onto my affection. God Owns Us Because We Are His

We first need to be taught that we belong to God, and then we need to believe what we have been told.
It’s similar to what Israel had to hear from God repeatedly when they journeyed from captivity into a vast territory to become God’s people.

Do not fear, for I have redeemed you…you are mine

Everyone yearns to fit in. Everyone desires acceptance. Everyone desires love. That is why feeling alone and rejected hurts so profoundly. We run the risk of being let down whenever we look for human acceptance and affiliation. But there is a place where we belong, where we will always be accepted and loved.

We are His, according to God. We are His when He redeems us. We are his, according to verse 3 of Psalm 100, and we belong to the Lord, according to Romans 14:8 . Furthermore, when we are God’s, we cannot be destroyed. When we ask God to intervene in those circumstances, He won’t allow us to be completely destroyed. We may have to deal with some difficult situations and continue to experience difficult times.

Because we are God’s, even though the enemy tries to defeat us, he is unable to do it. We are His, he claims. God granted the devil’s request to put Job’s faith to the test, but only with one restriction. It was impossible to take Job’s life: “You must spare his life” (Job 2:6). But not even death can take us away. Because we are followers of Christ, we are given eternal life: “Whoever believes in him shall not die but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

Regardless of how we may feel, we are His. The apostle Paul declared, “I am sure that nothing in all creation, not even death or life, not angels or demons, not the present or the future, not any powers, neither height nor depth, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39). Nothing can truly separate us from Him; that much is true.

Who Owns What and Why?

All things are God’s since He created them John 1:1-3.

Despite the fact that our names may appear on a title or deed, we do not actually own the property. In the big picture, we’re only accountable for our possessions while we’re here on earth.

When our time on earth is through, our assets, possessions, and money won’t follow us Ecclesiastes 5:15p. That is why it is said that a U-Haul will never be seen driving behind a funeral. But since God owns everything, we can rely on Him to meet our needs both now and in the future Philippians 4:19.

Rich through Relationships

God is the owner of everything, including us Psalm 24:1-2.

Because we belong to Jesus, as stated in 2 Corinthians 1:22, we have reason to believe that the best is yet to come. When we follow Jesus and pay attention to what He says, we are always taken care of Psalm 24:3-6.

We prosper because of who we are linked to, not because of what we do. Jesus should always come first in what is ours. According to 1 Corinthians 3:22–23, everything belongs to Jesus belongs to us as well.

God is generous, therefore He has more in store for us than just managing what is rightfully His. In Luke 16:10–13, God expresses excitement about benefiting us as we dutifully take care of His goods. He cares greatly about us and not just about himself.

How to Apply Who is God?

How does it impact us if God owns everything, including our time, money, and possessions? Do we sell all we have, relocate to a rural area, and lead a nomadic existence?

Hebrews 2:10 says that everything was made by Jesus and for Jesus. What Jesus intended when He created anything will determine how to use it. Knowing the root of everything teaches us how to use everything.

I can give a friend a ride when his car is in the shop if my automobile is God’s. If God owns my home, I can use it to host a group where people can get to know one another and develop their connections with Jesus. If God owns my wallet, I can utilize my money to develop His church and help those in need, in 2 Corinthians 9:10-13.

God is the owner of everything, and we are given a portion of what He owns. We enjoy both receiving and dispersing the wealth He possesses.

Finally

Scriptures. John 14:27 says, “Peace I give you; my peace I leave with you.” I do not offer to you in the manner of the world. Keep your minds from wandering and do not be terrified. Jeremiah 29:13 says that if you seek Me with all your heart, you will find Me. Acts 3:19. Therefore, turn to God and repent so that your sins may be forgiven and that the Lord may send seasons of refreshing. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things will be added to you, according to Matthew 6:33.

  1. […] The Jewish Christians should have been teachers by this stage, according to the author of Hebrews 5:12, but they still needed to be taught the fundamental principles. Sadly, that is the situation with the majority of churchgoers. They are not ready to lead or educate because they are still trying to learn what they have lost. ALSO READ ON You belong to God […]
