Living Life to the Fullest Christ Ordinances, for many of us, spring is our favorite season. The lengthening days cause the planet to awaken from its winter slumber. We also make an effort to occupy the “extra” hours of sunlight with activities we enjoy or perhaps with tasks that must be completed. Perhaps “living life to the fullest” means making the most of each minute and packing the days with activities.

I think Jesus had something quite different in mind when he talks about living life to the fullest. This significant subject is covered by Jesus in the first 10 verses of John 10. In verse 10, when speaking about his role as the Good Shepherd, Christ declares his mission for coming to this world: “I come that they might have life, and that they could enjoy it to the fullest.”

What exactly does Jesus mean by “abundant life, life to the fullest”? Could it be a life with enough of food, good health, unlimited resources, and few problems that worry us? Green, luscious meadows for a way of life? Did he come to grant us a comfortable and convenient form of rich life?

Living life to the fullest – Christ ordinances, we need to be reminded that life is not always filled with tranquil settings and verdant pastures. The life that God had originally intended for us has been traumatically disrupted by sin. But Jesus is well aware of all the sin and evil in this world. He foresees that we will endure suffering, but to guide us through the gloom, he has sent the Comforter, his Holy Spirit.

What was his meaning? Living Life to the Fullest – Christ Ordinances, According to what I understand Jesus to have said, living a life that is “full,” or abundant, means becoming one with him. In his letter to the Philippians, Paul mentions this imitation of Christ.

We must adopt the same mindset as Jesus: be empty of oneself, submit to Christ and one another, be humble, and be obedient. It entails reaching a point where we relinquish all control over our life. All are given over to Jesus’ direction, not even a finger is left on any action or thinking. We start to model Christ in our ideas, deeds, and communication with others. We come to the conclusion that we don’t need more “things” in our lives and instead learn to be content with what we already have in order to have more to give to others. We wish to spread the good news to others because of the rich life that Jesus gave his life for. Our goal is to share “Jesus” with anyone who would listen. The work of the Holy Spirit, who bestows upon us a new spirit that is in line with God’s purpose for us, enables this transformation in lifestyle.

It is not about religion in the “rich life.” Church is not at issue. It doesn’t matter how much you read from the Bible or whether you attend church. Grace that is greater than our sin is at issue. It concerns living a sanctified, holy life. It has to do with your inner conviction that you are a member of the Resurrected Savior. It has to do with wanting to share this new life with your sister and brother.

God gives us “life to the fullest” as an undeserved gift. So how are we faring with our goal of leading “full” lives? Does Christ stand at the forefront of our efforts?

How to Get Started Being Happy and Living Life to the Fullest

As Christians, we must begin by doing everything in our power to live for Christ and spread the Good News to the rest of the world. We are not to worry about the blessings the Lord may bestow upon us or about attempting to live an abundant life according to our own standards.

We are in line to receive the promise of a rich life when we are actively engaged in the work the Lord has given us.

The phrase blessed and the word happy are synonymous. We are commanded to guard our hearts in Proverbs 4:23 because issues of life arise from them. Our heart and our mind can be used interchangeably in the Bible. The way we think is under our control.

You can choose to have the mindset of an overcomer and pay attention to how God is working in your life, or you can choose to live your life as a victim, asking “Why do awful things always happen to me? Why is this all so difficult.” Take note of the blessings He is giving you.

If you choose to be a victim, your life will be sad; if you choose to look for God’s blessings, your life will be joyful.

We are in line to receive the promise of a rich life when we are actively engaged in the work the Lord has given us.
